One appliance. Three modules. All your Dell storage.
NASLORD™ is not three tools sharing a logo: it is a single virtual appliance, a single authentication layer, a single role model and a single audit log — on which you enable the modules you need.
What the three modules share
A single appliance
One OVA to deploy, back up and update. Modules are enabled by licence on the same appliance — no new infrastructure for each new need.
One identity, real roles
LDAP / Active Directory or local accounts, TOTP two-factor authentication, and privileges assigned per module, per cluster, per access zone or per MTree.
A built-in scheduler
Consumption collections, protected copies, scheduled reports and purges: every recurring job runs, logs and is monitored in the same place.
One audit log
Every action — delegated or central — is recorded with the user, the scope and the timestamp, then browsable and exportable for your audits.
Uniform exports
PDF for people, XML and JSON for systems. Every view of every module exports to all three formats, with the same layout.
Multilingual by design
Interface, reports and support in five languages — not a partial translation bolted on afterwards.
The tenant is the common thread
NASLORD organizes everything around the notion of a tenant — a department, a client, a faculty, a project. Each module adds its own dimension.
| Dimension | Module | What the tenant gets | What the organization keeps |
|---|---|---|---|
| Financial | Chargeback & Showback | Its costs, its budget, its forecasts and its monthly reports | The pricing model, the thresholds and the consolidated view |
| Operational | Multi-Tenant Manager | Self-service over its shares, exports, quotas and snapshots | The roles, zone confinement and the audit log |
| Protection | Retention Lock Manager | Immutable copies of its backups, restorable on request | The schedules, retention periods and authorizations |
Lightweight by design
NASLORD is a Photon OS virtual appliance delivered as an OVA. It queries your Dell systems through their APIs — no agents to install on the clusters, no changes to your platforms, and no data ever leaving your environment.
