The Dell Technologies ecosystem, integrated by specialists

Every platform is chosen, configured and deployed around your data — not the other way around. Here are the six Dell product families we integrate most often, and what they concretely bring to your organization.

Unified storage

Dell PowerStore

PowerStore is Dell’s all-NVMe unified storage platform: block and file served from the same appliance, with always-on inline data reduction (deduplication and compression). Its containerized operating system enables non-disruptive upgrades — the hardware evolves, the data stays in place.

  • All-NVMe, end to endConsistent latency for databases, ERP systems and virtualization — including NVMe/TCP over your existing Ethernet network.
  • Deep VMware integrationvVols, vCenter plug-ins and native replication: storage follows your virtual machines, not the other way around.
  • Scale-up and scale-outAdd shelves or appliances as you grow — volume balancing is automatic.

Unstructured data

Dell PowerScale

PowerScale (the Isilon family) is the reference in scale-out NAS: a single OneFS file system that grows node by node, with no migration or reorganization. The same data is served over NFS, SMB, S3 and HDFS — research, imaging, media and archives coexist on one platform, tiered from all-flash to archive.

  • One namespaceCapacity and performance are added online, per node — the system rebalances automatically, with no downtime window.
  • Built-in resilienceStripe-based protection rather than RAID, SnapshotIQ snapshots, SyncIQ cross-site replication and SmartQuotas per-directory quotas.
  • Governance with NASLORDOur platform adds chargeback, budgets and multi-tenant delegation per access zone — every terabyte has an owner.

Data protection

Dell PowerProtect DD

PowerProtect DD (the Data Domain family) is the reference backup target: its variable-length deduplication drastically shrinks the backup footprint, and its Data Invulnerability Architecture verifies every byte written. It integrates with all major backup software through DD Boost — you can change software, the target stays.

  • Reference deduplicationFewer disks, less replication bandwidth, deeper histories — deduplication happens at the source with DD Boost.
  • Retention Lock immutabilityLocked (WORM) backup copies that neither ransomware nor a compromised account can alter before expiry.
  • Replication and isolated vaultDeduplicated cross-site replication and a cyber recovery vault architecture for the copy of last resort.

Object storage

Dell ObjectScale

ObjectScale (the evolution of ECS) brings S3-compatible object storage into your data centre: cloud-native applications, data lakes, backup targets and active archives — with on-premises latency and full data sovereignty. Built for Kubernetes, it deploys and scales like a modern application.

  • On-premises S3 APIYour developers use the same APIs as in the public cloud — without egress fees or vendor lock-in.
  • Object lockNative immutability for backups and compliance — one more layer of ransomware protection.
  • Multi-tenant by designIsolated namespaces per team or customer — and per-tenant cost allocation with NASLORD.

Hyperconverged infrastructure

Dell VxRail

VxRail is the hyperconverged platform co-engineered by Dell and VMware: compute, vSAN storage and virtualization in one node, with a fully automated software lifecycle. Every upgrade — firmware, hypervisor, platform — is factory-validated and applied in sequence, with no compatibility matrix to manage.

  • Automated lifecycleEnd-to-end orchestrated upgrades — the quarterly chore becomes a one-click planned window.
  • From remote site to data centreTwo-node clusters for regional sites up to stretched multi-room clusters — the same stack everywhere.
  • Modernization foundationVDI, Tanzu containers, enterprise applications: a healthy base, ready for hybrid cloud.

Networking

Dell PowerSwitch

PowerSwitch is Dell’s open networking family: from 1 GbE access to 400 GbE core, powered by OS10 or SONiC. Spine-leaf fabrics, VXLAN and EVPN for the data centre, SmartFabric for automation — the network that carries your storage platforms, hyperconverged clusters and AI compute farms.

  • Open networkingOS10 and SONiC separate hardware from software — no proprietary lock-in, native API-driven automation.
  • Built for storageQueues, flow control and jumbo MTU for iSCSI, NFS and NVMe/TCP — the fabric respects your data’s latency.
  • SmartFabricFabric deployment and growth are automated — fewer configuration errors, repeatable changes.

On the ground

The right product, in the right place, for the right workload.

A catalogue is not an architecture. Our value is making these platforms work together — sized, integrated and documented.
